From the historical center going south, along via Roma, the main access road to Cerreto Guidi, you go along the S.P. 31 and you reach Piazza XX Settembre, called Piazza della Fiera.
It takes its name from the great cattle fair that was held, right in this square, until the 1950s, which attracted farmers and breeders from all over the area.
Proceeding along via Ripa, you descend into the valley of the 'Streda' torrent which from the 'Montalbano' reaches the Arno river, and you follow the Streda provincial road towards the built-up area of Vinci.
This stretch of the route coincides with the Via degli Etruschi which connects the Montalbano with the Via Francigena.
After a little way, on the left, a road opens up, via di Strognano.
You can go up until you reach the S.P. 105 in the section of via Leonardo da Vinci.
Follow the paved road towards Cerreto Guidi and go along the S.P. 31 you return inside the walls of the historic center in via dello Sdrucciolo passing by Porta al Palagio.
