Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena

E' documentata dal XIII sec., ma l'aspetto attuale risale alla prima metà del XVIII sec. La facciata è caratterizzata da un portale con frontone spezzato e una grande finestra delimitata da un motivo geometrico. All'interno presenta un fastoso apparato decorativo. La zona presbiteriale è separata dall'aula da un grande arco riccamente ornato da tendaggi e putti in stucco di Giovan Battista Ciceri, cui si devono anche i quattro angeli (1700 ca.) ai lati dell'altar maggiore, che custodisce un prezioso Crocifisso ligneo del XV sec. Attribuito ad Andrea Pisano. In sacrestia si conserva un grande e venerato Crocifisso
in legno dipinto e dorato (XV sec.) e due sculture lignee, un Angelo annunziante e la Maddalena (fine XV sec.). Ancora oggi la tenutaria del Santuario è la cinquecentesca Venerabile Compagnia del SS. Crocifisso in S. M. Maddalena.

This Church is known since 13th century, though its present appearance dates back to the first half of the 18th century. The façade presents a portal with broken gable and a large window framed by a geometrical motif. The interior is
magnificently decorated: the presbytery is separated by the hall by a large arch richly decorated with stucco curtains and putti by Giovan Battista Ciceri, who around 1700 also made the four angels surrounding the high altar. This latter is decorated with a wooden Crucifix from the 15th century, attributed to Andrea Pisano. Inside the sacristy a large wooden, painted and gilt Crucifix from the 15th century and two wooden sculptures presenting an Announcing Angel and Mary of Magdala booth from the late 15th century, are kept. Still today, the tenure of the Sanctuary is the sixteenth-century Venerable Company of the Most Holy Crucifix in Saint Mary Maddalena church.
