Landriano
Landriano is located in the lower plain, a few kilometers south of the karst springs line, in the center of the territory between Milan, Pavia and Lodi. The town is crossed by the course of the Lambro Meridionale river, on whose banks the town arose, around which there are numerous farmhouses and the Pairana hamlet.

In the course of its history, due to the particular "border" position where it was located, Landriano was in relation with Laus Pompeia (the current Lodi Vecchio) in ancient times, in the Middle Ages and modern period with Milan and eventually, in 1800, it moved into the province of Pavia. Landriano represents the third great province of the Taverna family heritage. The policy of the Taverna Counts towards this area was expressed through a particular attention to the public asset and social need; they built the clock for the bell tower, made some places available to the community such as the parish church reserved for the family, and offered shelter to the needy, such as the ancient institution of the hospital for widows and orphans in the town.
