Sabato 15 novembre alle ore 16.30, al Museo della Città e del Territorio l'interessante incontro, a cura di Scuola d'Arte Leonardo, dal titolo 'Le lunette del Santuario di Maria SS. della Fontenuova e le incisioni di Luigi Nuti'. Gli affreschi di Giovanni da San Giovanni e l'importanza storica delle incisioni del monsummanese Luigi Nuti. L'ingresso all'evento è libero e gratuito.

Housed since 1998 in the historical Osteria dei Pellegrini, the Museum of the City and Territory documents Monsummano Terme's history, the devotion to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Fontenuova, and the development of the spas and modern industries. It recounts the Valdinievole's evolution and the transformation of the countryside following the land reclamation work in the Fucecchio Marshes.

The museum's scientific character is brought out in the Sky Room, a room dedicated to Galileo's discoveries followed in the tour by the planetarium.

In 2001, the museum received a special commendation under the aegis of the European Museum of the Year (EMYA) award. It has been recognized as a Museum of Regional Importance since 2012.
