Il giorno dopo il Corso Mascherato la Cittadella del Carnevale è in festa.

Dalle ore 15 alle ore 18 la piazza sarà animata con musica e l'esibizione della Filarmonica Versilia, la banda del Carnevale di Viareggio.

Saranno aperti gli hangar che custodiscono i carri allegorici e il Museo.

Il Carnevale è spesso associato al mondo dell'effimero, dove le maestose costruzioni allegoriche sfoggiate lungo il Lungomare esistono solo per il breve periodo delle sfilate. Tuttavia, grazie allo spazio espositivo dell'Hangar 16, questa esperienza può essere prolungata oltre i giorni dei Corsi Mascherati. L'Espace Gilbert, parte integrante del percorso espositivo del Museo del Carnevale, ospita una selezione di opere in cartapesta, permettendo così di apprezzare e preservare questa forma d'arte anche al di là della stagione carnevalesca.
