'L'impronta è il racconto collettivo di una minaccia epocale alla grande foresta, un monito e un'avventura narrata da chi quella foresta si trova a chiamarla casa. L'uomo è assente in queste pagine, la sua presenza solo suggerita. Gli animali lo chiamano 'mostro', indagano i suoi segni e lo considerano alla stregua di una creatura aliena, una presenza ingombrante e dannosa. Ne 'L'Impronta' le voce di lupi, cervi, tassi, il coro della foresta, accompagnano il lettore in un luogo che brilla di nuova luce, negli istanti prima della fine.'
