The altar of the church of San Michele dated 1721 and the holy water stoup from the 16th-17th century allow us to assume that the original layout dates back to the 18th century. Inside, the church space is made up of the central nave and two side chapels. In the upper part there is a large glass oculus while in the lower part the main entrance portal is surmounted by a marble stone that recalls the restoration and expansion of 1859. The façade was completed in 1894 and the left chapel in 1910 and in the same year it was provided with an altar, a gift from the Henraux family. In the niche there is now the statue of the Madonna of Lourdes, in the right chapel that of the Addolorata, while the tympanum of the architrave bears the inscription 'Mater dolorosa ora pro nobis', reiterated by the golden monogram of Mary in the centre of the antependium. In San Michele the cult of the Madonna del Cavatore is particularly felt, whose image is present in the church in copy (the original, since the end of August 1979 is located in the chapel-sanctuary of Polla). In 2020, thanks to the commitment of the village Committee, a major restoration project was carried out which included the roof, the barrel vault, the chapel, the facade, the rose window and the whitewashing of the interior.
