The Chapel of the Holy Trinity, today dedicated to Saint Anthony, was commissioned by the illustrious Berti family of Seravezza. Construction began in March 1686 and ended in 1690. At that time, the Chapel was a rectangular room covered by a roof and decorated with an elegant marble portal; inside there was an altar dedicated to Saint John the Baptist Berti. Around 1720, embellishment work was carried out: the barrel vault decorated with white and red marble was built, surrounded by a bardiglio frame; the vault was decorated with frescoes depicting the Assumption of the Virgin and Her Coronation by the Trinity. The altar with the inlaid antependium was rebuilt on the southern wall, and the Infant Jesus of Prague rests on the ciborium, in gilded wood decorated with the bronze figures of Saints Peter and Paul. Between the columns and the architrave was inserted the canvas depicting the Holy Trinity and six Saints, of heartbreaking beauty, signed and dated 1722 by the Florentine painter Alessandro Gherardini and still present today. On the sides of the altar there are two recently built niches: in one is inserted the statue of Saint Anthony of Padua and in the other of Saint Luigi Gonzaga. At the beginning of the 20th century, when the Berti family died out, the Parish, through a popular subscription, took over the Chapel to save it from degradation and entrust it to the people of Seravezza. Holy Mass is celebrated there on the occasion of the anniversary of Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Luigi and in the Marian months of May and October.
