This building, still known as 'Gambrinus', was home to the Salon Varieté famous throughout the historic Versilia, the Gambrinus Halle (inaugurated in 1912). Over the years it has been a meeting place for bourgeois and worldly families of the early 1900s when Seravezza was called Little Paris, then skating, cinema, theatre (the Edison Cinema). In the first post-war period it became the point of reference for associations, citizens' committees and organisations interested in the development of the area. It housed the Sirio Giannini library and, since the 1950s, the Pro Loco Seravezza (established in 1930), in collaboration with the Tourist Promotion Board – EPT- founded a Tourist Information Office which is still based in the building today and deals with the organisation of events and the tourist promotion of Versilia and the provincial territory. It currently also houses the administrative offices of the Apuan Alps Regional Park.

The bronze monument located in the garden in front dedicated to Vasco Zappelli is the work of Ulderigo Becchini (1972). Vasco Zappelli (1922-1971), union leader and secretary of FILLEA–CGIL, was killed by a group of criminals while trying to foil a robbery at the Seravezza Credit Institute. Every year, on May 1st, workers, managers and union representatives pay homage to the memory of Vasco Zappelli who in 1973, following his courageous gesture, received the gold medal for Civil Valor.
