There is no information about the small oratory dedicated to San Domenico in the Fondi area, outside the town of Camaiore, to attest to its construction period, but from a typological analogy comparison between similar buildings in the area, it can be said that it was built between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century. The building, probably during extraordinary maintenance work, was completely plastered, an operation that significantly compromised its identity. The interior is simple, without decorations, the original large-sized terracotta flooring is very interesting.

The gabled façade features a stone facing with stone blocks, arranged in opus incertum, left exposed. In the center is the entrance portal, framed in stone, which is flanked by two windows, with stone frames, placed at eye level. In line with the entrance and just below the eaves, is an oculus.
Plant
The building has a rectangular plan shape, with the major axis oriented from south to north and the entrance in the latter position; the interior has a single hall.

The presbytery is located in the final part of the hall and is coplanar with it.
