The small church of San Lorenzo ad Orbicciano, probably from the Romanesque period, is mentioned for the first time in the land registry of 1260 as belonging to the Pieve di Monsagrati, but with the dedication to Santa Maria. The building has probably maintained its original appearance over the centuries, with a rectangular plan and exposed trusses. In fact, in the report of the episcopal visit of 1680, the church is described as 'large, with two doors and windows. Adjacent is the bell tower with two bells'. The only later element is the sacristy, obtained by separating the choir and the presbytery with a wall, probably during the 18th century. The bell tower is adjacent to the façade and is located to its left. It has a rectangular plan with a single bell chamber that opens on the four sides through arched windows. The wooden roof is slightly raised from the masonry and has a double-pitched roof.
