Nell'ambito di Muzika! Festival musicale in Italia, Varna International Music Academy del South Carolina vi invita al concerto Requiem in Re minore KV 626 che si terrà presso la Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta, venerdì 5 luglio 2024, ore 21.
Dirigerà il Maestro Kent Hattenberg, direttore delle attività delle corali presso l'Università di Louisville, direttore artistico della Louisville Chamber Choir e condirettore del Kentucky Musicians Abroad. Completano la formazione Sarah Marguerite Lally (soprano), Isabella Nicoli (mezzo-soprano), Austin Means (tenore) e Anthony Larson (basso).

To meet the need for a nearby church for those who used the spa treatments, this basilica was built in 1824 at the end of the avenue perpendicular to the Tettuccio establishment in Piazza del Popolo. However, in 1962 it was modified and rebuilt in a more rearward position, towards the south. Among the artistic works included in the church are the metal crucifix by Sauro Cavallini, the stained glass windows and mosaics by Giorgio Scalco and the chandeliers by Carmelo Pucci.
