The permanent structure collects and preserves an organized set of books, materials and information for the entire population.
In particular, the Municipal Library operates as a local information center. It participates in the activities and initiatives of the Documentary Network of the Province of Pistoia (REDOP) and creates forms of collaboration and cooperation with other Bodies, Libraries, Archives and Cultural Institutions present in the area.
The Montecatini Terme library's collection consists of approximately 79,000 documents. The children's section includes approximately 4,000 volumes, the children's section approximately 3,500, and the newspaper library contains approximately 120 periodicals and 9 daily newspapers.
