The cultural association Ville Borbone e Dimore Storiche della Versilia aps was founded in 2014 to promote the 'Altra Versilia', the most unexpected and unusual one, not far from the frenetic seaside life.
A cultural heritage made up of villas and historic homes, both private and public, which constitute an 'innovative cultural-tourist product' between the sea, lake, hills and Apuan Alps.
The aim is to demonstrate how cultural heritage can constitute a real resource for knowledge and discovery or rediscovery of the territory, enjoyable by residents and holidaymakers.
Over the years, our project has taken shape through various paths: events of various kinds, teaching, dramatized visits, Liberty visits and historical dances in enchanted places, where time has stopped and their history and art are experienced first-hand by users.
The story of these homes is told and made known through the families who built or acquired their properties over the centuries in places that still convey an unexpected glimpse of our territory.
For us it is important to remember with dedicated events the women and men, historians and artists who have enhanced our land, Versilia, or who have drawn inspiration from it for their works or who have simply chosen to spend periods of their lives there.
We offer experiences and emotions to live and appreciate together, trying to offer them all year round to our members and to those who occasionally participate in our events in places to be visited with respect.
