She was loved by all. She was a Viareggio native and a citizen of the world, Salomea Krucenjnski, dramatic soprano, born and died in Lviv in Ukraine but lived for more than forty years in a building on Viale Carducci, number 25, even marrying the mayor of Viareggio, the lawyer Cesare Riccioni.
A beautiful woman, a cultured, refined, and very well-informed artist (she knew four languages), an interpreter so good that she brought about triumphs (she made 'Madama Butterfly' shine in Brescia after the fiasco of the premiere at La Scala in Milan), a star even sought after by hair dye advertisements (and we are in 1907), Salomea lives again today in a suggestive and evocative docu-film made about her by the director Luigi Martinelli (one hundred works to his credit) and which will soon be presented by the TV channel 'Tele-Versilia'.
