The Matteucci Foundation for Modern Art, founded by Giuliano Matteucci, has established itself as one of the most accredited institutions for the knowledge of 19th and 20th century art, becoming a point of reference in the field of conservation, management and promotion of exhibitions and events, thanks also to the prestigious Scientific Committee made up of Cristina Acidini, Fernando Mazzocca, Antonio Paolucci, Carlo Sisi.
The Foundation essentially applies its skills in the conception and realisation of exhibition projects focused on 19th and 20th century Italian art, as well as cycles of conferences, conventions and seminars.
At the heart of each project is the recovery of important private collections, with the focus on the figure of the collector investigated in the declination of connoisseur, custodian of artistic heritage and disseminator of taste.
A line that has been increasingly defined since the inaugural exhibition, From Fattori to Casorati. Masterpieces from the Ojetti collection (2010), up to the recent monographic contribution dedicated to Oscar Ghiglia (2018).
In the realization of each exhibition project, the scientific support of the Matteucci Institute with its rich computer archives is confirmed as crucial.
