Visita guidata alla Villa Il Cerretino in occasione delle Giornate FAI d'autunno.
Il percorso della visita prenderà avvio dal piano nobile arricchito da opere d'arte. Si passerà poi al giardino e al piano inferiore dove verrà allestita una mostra con opere della collezione privata del proprietario e potremo scoprire il tunnel che secondo la leggenda sia stato il collegamento tra il Cerretino e la Villa Medicea di Poggio a Caiano, che serviva per gli incontri tra il Granduca e Bianca Cappello.

'Il Cerretino' Villa has its roots in the fourteenth century, later becoming the residence of the Medici family. Its story is strictly linked to the Medici Villa of Poggio a Caiano. In fact, it is told the Bianca Cappello lived here during the second half of the sixteenth century. This famous noblewoman has been the Grand Duke of Tuscany Francesco I de 'Medici's secret lover for years, until she became his legitimate wife in 1579. Their love story is still a source of legends and tales, especially because of their untimely death in 1587. 'Il Cerretino' Villa not only is full of history but also offers a perfect location for events such as: baptisms, communions and marriages and civil unions since the Villa is also the municipal house of Poggio a Caiano.
