Its name derives from the plants of the same name that are found near the water source discovered in 1843. Owned by the Schmitz family, it was purchased in 1897 by the Società Nuove Terme, which in 1909 began the renovation based on a project by the architect Giulio Bernardini. The entire building is rich in precious decorations and ceramic tiles of high artistic value and, thanks to recent restorations, is now used as an exhibition space and venue for important painting exhibitions and cultural events.
