This multipurpose center in S. Lucia is dedicated to the Uzzanese spouses Amina Nuget and Umberto Natali, who in 1944 hid in their home three Jewish girls, whose parents had been sent to the Auschwitz extermination camp, saving them from deportation and certain death.
The girls, having grown up, never forgot this act of kindness made by their new parents and committed themselves to ensure that the State of Israel gave them the recognition of 'Righteous among the Nations' in 2006.
Today, the names of Umberto Natali and Amina Nuget are carved on the Yad Vashem memorial wall in Jerusalem. The center is now managed by the Health Society.
