The Pieve di Sant' Andrea overlooks the small square of Stignano. A beautiful feature of this church is the somewhat squat bell tower, lightened by mullioned and single-lancet windows.
Its stone facade in Romanesque style makes the structure simple but elegant and from the outside you can still recognize, even if it is closed, the so-called 'dead man's door': a particular access that was used to take the bodies to the nearby cemetery, whose jambs are decorated with plant motifs carved in stone.
Inside there are wonderful works including: the high altar that houses the beautiful arched panel depicting the 'Resurrection of Christ', two panels depicting a 'Nativity' in the upper part and a 'Massacre of the Innocents' in the lower part, both from the Tuscan school of the 16th century, a marble holy water stoup from 1540 and the baptismal font whose basin is decorated with cherub heads.
