Towards the mid-nineteenth century Montecatini Terme became a precious and prestigious European salon, constantly enriched with 'new' Liberty-style architecture, which here took on peculiar and very personal characteristics of lightness and sobriety.
Among these works stands out the 'Teatro Politeama', today 'Multisala Imperiale'. The building, built in 1926, has been recently renovated and has four cinemas with Dolby digital amplification system, with a capacity of 300 and 160 respectively for the largest, and 80 seats each for the two smallest.
The large hall features a 12 x 5 meter stage and a bar room.
