Starting from the Passerella Sforzini, you descend along the river passing under the Ponte Europa and the Ponte del Marchi and then, after about half an hour of walking, you reach the Ponte della Ferrovia and cross the Furicaia footbridge. You will also encounter the Guastapaglia fountains to which the Museo Dell'Irrigazione inaugurated on 2 June 2021 was dedicated. Following the bends of the river, a breathtaking view will open up over the entire Valdinievole, the Cerbaie hills and the large basin of the Padule di Fucecchio. After about an hour and a half from the starting point, you cross the Ponte Severini, then the Ponte Uzzanese and the Ponte Camporcioni. After another two and a half hours of walking, you reach Ponte Buggianese. Continuing the route, you arrive at the Grande Lago and an immense poplar grove, while on the right extends the Riserva Naturale della Monaca - Righetti, where many species of birds can be observed.
