It is not a single closed path, but a series of streets in the woods, country and paved roads that connect the towns in the high hills: Anchiano, S.Lucia and Faltognano. The map therefore shows the paths that wind from Leonardo's birthplace, which can easily be taken as a reference point. From each of these locations it is possible to admire the entire valley below and at higher altitudes it is not uncommon to see the coast of Livorno and the unmistakable profile of the Gorgona Island on clear days. It is important to underline the presence of the secular Faltognano holm oak, registered in the Monumental Trees Register of the Tuscany Region; it stands imposingly in the panoramic square in front of the ancient church of Romanesque origins and rebuilt in the neo-Renaissance style in the 19th century. It is the perfect meeting and resting place for walkers and nature lovers. The numerous dry stone walls that form the characteristic terraces where vines and olives are grown (some of them even date back to the fifteenth century) are the peculiarity of this area.
