In the prestigious Podestà Hall of the Conti Guidi Castle you can find a multimedia exhibition to learn about and deepen, thanks to the ISLe application (InSight Leonardo), 5 of the most important drawings by Leonardo. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the University of Bologna, let you explore 5 of Leonardo's most important drawings reproduced in digital version, giving the visitor the opportunity to relate to the work as if he had the drawing in his hands. The ISLe application (InSight Leonardo), developed by the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna, creates a physical space in which the visitor is guided to discover Leonardo's work. Leonardo's drawings are thus described, investigated and revealed in many details that are much more noticeable than with the naked eye. The digital device makes it possible to identify, in a comparison with the facsimile, elements that have to do with the creative process, the tools and the methods of representation used by the master. There are also appreciable aspects of the material object, such as the corrugations and movements of the paper, and even the conservation criticalities of the sheet such as, for example, the corrosion due to the acidity of the inks. Thanks to the touch-screen tables it is possible to lose yourself in the famous 'Landscape' drawing of 1473, admire the extreme precision and firmness of Leonardo's hand shown in the preparatory drawing of the Adoration of the Magi and in the famous Vitruvian Man and immerse yourself in the vision that Leonardo was developing on art of the war represented through the drawings of the square Fortress and the Mortars throwing explosive balls. The exhibition is enriched by some editions of works contemporary to Leonardo from the Leonardo Library which account for the historical and cultural context in which the drawings were born.
