Nestled on a green hill, from which you can enjoy an incredible panorama, the Franciscan convent of Colleviti was built at the end of the 15th century. This place of peace and prayer, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, underwent numerous changes between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, including the renovation of the current cloister, which presents a colonnade in serene stone overlooking a large cistern. The complex includes the church of San Ludovico, equipped with beautiful canvases, a large marble altar and a fabulous seventeenth-century wooden choir, along with an important library of about 3000 books, incunabula and illuminated codes, only partially survived to the fury of Napoleonic suppressions.
