The Via Francigena is an ancient pilgrimage route that connects Northern Europe to Rome through five routes and, therefore, to Santiago and Jerusalem. The Romea Strata was born from an idea of Don Sinibaldi of the Diocese of Vicenza, aimed at grouping under a single name a system of ancient routes, in Italy and abroad, capable of gathering a large number of pilgrims from the north, the center and Eastern Europe on their way to Rome. Cerreto Guidi is just the last stop before it enters the Via Francigena at the height of Fucecchio.
