Statue of Pinocchio

The story of Pinocchio is known by everyone, but how many know that in Italy there is a 16 meters long wooden statue of Pinocchio? Only in Collodi it is possible to admire the world's largest wooden Pinocchio, placed in 2009 in a space open to the public next to the Park: an amazing work made on commission by the National Carlo Collodi Foundation. In this village, in fact, there is a park dedicated entirely to Pinocchio and its adventures, opened since 1956. The statue, made of fir wood, was finished after about 800 hours of work, with the result of a 16 meters long wooden puppet, height that gives it the award as the tallest statue of Pinocchio in the world.
