All the farms in Montalbano have something in common: they are placed in the Montalbano production area, between Florence, Prato and Pistoia, in an area enhanced by a continental climate mitigated by the influences of the Mediterranean. Leonardo da Vinci was born here, where on this hills he used to have walks talking about, in the Leicester Codex, this land rich in shells which were called by him 'nichi', capable of giving a certain elegance to wines. Montalbano is in fact characterized by the nature of its cretaceous soil, rich in shells and minerals, precious characteristics for a quality wine.
