Church of Santa Maria in Faltognano

This church, which already existed in the 13th century but was completely rebuilt in 1895 in a neo-Renaissance style, is located on a natural panoramic terrace in the locality of Faltognano. Although the building itself does not preserve significant traces of its past, it is worthwhile to stop on the lawn in front of the church to observe the breathtaking landscape of the Arno Valley from under the branches of the famous holm oak remembered since the eighteenth century.
