The route starts from the center of the medieval village of Cerreto Guidi, right from the Medici's Villa.
From the top of the steps of Buontalenti we can see in the panorama framed by Montalbano the point of arrival of our route, the Padule di Fucecchio.
Go down via Vittorio Veneto and follow the S.P. 31 until you reach the sanctuary of Santa Liberata, and continue on via Matteotti to reach Casa la Capra through via Torribina.
After a short stretch on via Colonica take the unpaved road to your left that will take you to Stabbia through an agricultural landscape that characterizes these areas, reached via Marmoreccia continue in via La Core and via del Lupo towards the sports field.
Go along the S.R. 436 up to the Vincio stream, and walk along a stretch of the Via del Vincio to the intersection with Via Montanelli which will follow up to the road to Massarella S.P.111.
From here take via delle Cerbaie and turn onto Via Porto allo Stillo to reach the banks of the Usciana canal until you reach the Padule landscape rich in wildlife and history.
In addition to the landscape aspects, this route covers very important stages in the history of this area from the Medici to the Massacre of the Padule.
