Medici's Ring n°1 - The Goat

From the historic center of Cerreto Guidi proceed southwards, leaving the Medici's Villa behind your back on via Ildebrandino, continuing to the white road that leads to the bottom of the valley of the Ganghereto district. It goes up to Corliano near Case Quattrini and continuing southwards in the direction of Petriolo farm, along the street of the same name. From here you enter a fairly wooded area, very beautiful from the landscape point of view, in fact it is a reserve area where hunting is forbidden. Proceed inside the valley of the Rio Valdinebbia and go to the opposite ridge along one of the many roads that connects Cerreto Guidi to Fucecchio. Going through an area surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, passing the residential areas that used to be the old peasant farms, until you reach Casa the Capra (Goat House) where the road connects to Via Torribina. Proceed east on Via Matteotti to the Sanctuary of Santa Liberata and from there take Via Vittorio Veneto to return to the historic center of Cerreto Guidi. It is an immersive path in the nature among woods and agricultural traditions where you can feel the long peasant history that surrounds the gentle hills of this countryside.
